DIY CHRISTMAS PICTURE FRAME

Hey there!  While scanning on Kirkland’s online site I stumbling across a cute Christmas frame.  I love showing off Ms. Kehlani so this frame was a must to create.  Plus, making it myself I can customize it to fit my own style and color.

If you are coming over from Sara, Birdz of a Feather, welcome to Decorate and More with Tip!  So happy you stopped by, wasn’t Sara’s craft so cute?  She is very inspiring with all of her crafts!

It’s time for another monthly Creative Craft hop, this month we have 8 crafters sharing some awesome crafts.  A special thanks to Sara, Birdz of a Feather for hosting the craft hop.  At the bottom of my page I will share each participant’s link to their craft.

Kirkland’s Christmas Frame Dupe Tutorial

Supplies needed to make this frame:

  • Dollar Tree picture frame
  • Material to fit your frame
  • 20 string beads (I am using Dollar Trees, painted white)
  • Twine
  • Mod Podge
  • Hot glue
  • A favorite Christmas phase (I used my Cricut and created the words Merry Christmas)
  • One wooden mini clothes pin

Count out 20 same size beads from the assortment of Dollar Tree beads and paint them the color you want.  I am painting mine white.

Remove the backing and glass from the frame.

With your fabric cut a piece the size of the back of the frame.

Apply a layer of Mod Podge on the glass and place the fabric onto the glass.

Cut the excess fabric around the glass.

I used my Cricut to create a wording for my frame.  Dollar Tree’s letter stickers word work perfect to make your saying.

I placed it in to the center of the covered panel’s bottom.  To seal the words on the fabric I applied one coat of Mod Podge to the entire front of the panel.

Cut a piece of twine a little larger than the frame.  I am cutting mine 12 inches.

Thread the painted beads onto the twine.

Place a mini clothes pin in the center of the beads.  I painted my pin white to match the beads.

I added some hot glue to attach the backing part of the frame to the glass.

To attach the bead garland, add hot glue to each end of the garland to the back of the frame.

Add the panel back into the frame.

Place your favorite photo with the clothes pin and look how cute!!
