DIY DOLLAR TREE HOLIDAY LANTERN

Finally, our Dollar Tree is turning into the $1 Plus store and I can’t be more excited about it.

I have seen people use these Dollar Tree lanterns for many DIY projects or crafts.  I am sharing my spin on making a holiday lantern decoration with one.

I am still working on my Christmas in July crafts and DIYs, I hope you are enjoying my items I am bringing you here and on my Facebook page.

I purchased two Dollar Tree’s gold large lanterns and one glass candle holder to build a pedestal lantern.  I will be using a Christmas wreath I made out of a piece of Christmas garland and a Christmas pick.  The only tool I used was a hot glue gun.

It’s so easy to create.  Add a stream of hot glue all around the very top edge of the candle holder.

Add the lantern to the center top of the candleholder.

If you want your pedestal lantern all the same color, spray paint the entire piece.  For me, I will leave mine as it is.

Slip a Christmas wreath over the lantern.

With wire twigs on the wreath, tie onto the corners of the lantern to keep the wreath in place.

Last thing, add a candle inside the lantern.

See how easy this lantern is to make?  You can change the wreath season after season.  I hope you enjoyed my little lantern tutorial, if so pin it for when you are wanting to make one of these lanterns for your home.
