Happy Friday! Today’s the 10 on the 10th Blog Hop, this month we are sharing Fall inspiration! I want to thank Tammy Patina and Paint for hosting the $10 on the 10th blog hop each month. This month, there’s 5 of us bloggers sharing “Fall inspiration” for $10 or under. At the bottom of my page I will have the links to my friend’s Fall inspiration for you.
My Fall inspiration is a simple Fall decoration you can easily make for your home. For those who watched my Decorate With Me | Fall Blanket Ladder, Table Décor & Cozy Corner yesterday, you saw how I decorated the planter in our family room.

DOLLAR TREE FALL PUMPKIN PLANTER TUTORIAL
Directions:
- removed the stem from the pumpkin
- placed the potted plant on top of the pumpkin
- traced a larger circle around the pot.
My little plant was the perfect size for the Dollar Tree pumpkin, any small potted plant will do.
- With a craft knife cut on the line.
- Paint the outer part of the pumpkin.
I gave my pumpkin two coats of Apple Barrel King’s gold with a little antiquing with Waverly Antique wax.
Putting the planter together
- I placed the potted plant inside the pumpkin shell.
- Place Spanish moss around the edge of the pumpkin, tucking inside the pumpkin’s edge.
- For a cleaner look, cut the moss with a pair of scissors.
And that’s it, see how easy it was? A cute Fall planter to style in our home.

You are so clever, Terrie! What a great way to use those pumpkins.

Thanks Corine. Yes the moss gave it what it needed.
Your Dollar Tree Pumpkin is the PERFECT addition to your vignette. I love how you placed a plant inside. The addition of greenery is so pretty. It’s always the little things…. Great job. Thanks so much for sharing.
