My craft today is revamping one of the candelabras I made for our daughter’s baby shower a couple years ago.

To start this project I removed the beads and cups from the candelabra.
Supplies I will be using:
- 1 DIY candelabra
- 4 Dollar Tree LED emergency candles
- 1 set of Dollar Tree toy Halloween stakes
- hot glue
- black spray paint
- 1 white candle
Next, I removed the emergency candles from the package. Hot gluing them to each end of the arms of the candelabra.
Spray painting two coats of black paint to the candelabra.
I took a wax candle and dripped wax around the outer part of the emergency candles to make them look like waxed candles.
To give my candelabra a touch of spookiness, I took the two stakes and cut the bats off.
Adding the bats to each sides of the candelabra’s top with hot glue.
Using the chains from the rest of the stakes, I cut them in half and glued them to the bottom of each arm of the candelabra.
Add the candles on and there it is….my spooky candelabra!!

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
Such a fun project! You definitely put a lot of creativity in to remaking it into a spooky and fun item for Halloween. So glad to be part of the hop this month with you.
Thank you Donna!
So creative; I love both versions Terrie! The candle wax is a great touch!
Thank you Sara. Hope you have a wonderful Fall season!
I think you had too much fun re-making your pretty candelabra into a spooky one, Terrie! It certainly turned out adorable and perfect for Halloween! Love it!
Thanks Gail. I know I had to get creative since I normally don’t decorate for Halloween.
Terrie, what a great way to recycle a party decoration. The black candlebra is perfect as a Halloween decoration. Don’t we all love using Dollar Tree!
Thanks Carol. Yes, don’t know what I would do without Dollar Tree. ha!
Very unique and clever Terrie. I like the little touches of dripping wax as well!

Thanks Rachelle. Happy Fall.
I forgot to say I love the way you dripped candle wax on the candles to make them look real, brilliant!
I might have to do this on a couple regular candles now, I love the look.
Spooky Beautiful Terrie! Wow, from a baby shower to a Halloween decoration, what a creative vision! Love the bats, a nice touch of creepy cute!
Thanks Jenna. I normally don’t decorate for Halloween so my decorations are limited. It was time to create with what I had and a small trip to Dollar Tree. 🙂
I remember those candelabras from your daughter’s shower and how clever to repurpose one for Halloween! It fits right in with your Halloween decor. Great idea!
Thanks Ann. So happy to be hopping with you! Hope you have a great Fall season Ann!
Terrie, your candleabra turned out so cute! I love how you added wax drips to the candles, too! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
Thank you Cecilia! I do like how they look now with the drippings. Have a happy Fall my friend.
