Here are the supplies you will need:
- a piece of 12×12 card stock
- twine
- 1 package of Dollar Tree wooden pumpkin ornaments
- 12 large beads, 6 medium beads and 18 small beads
- Mod podge
Drill a hole at the bottom of all 5 pumpkins in the center.
Trace out 10 pumpkin shapes onto the paper, cut out and glue to each side of the pumpkins.
After they are dry, sand the edges removing all the excess paper.
Make shoe string bows and glue to the pumpkins.
Now the pumpkins are finished we can focus on the string part of the garland. For the top of the garland, take the twine and 6 beads, (two large, 1 medium and 3 small beads) thread the twine into all 6 beads. Make a loop, make a knot and thread the twine back through the beads, leave the ends free.
For the next 4 strains, thread the beads on a piece of twine. For the end strand, make a tassel and tie to one end. (If you want a horizontal garland, make two loop strands instead of the tassel).
Connect the pumpkins to the beads
Take the looped bead, tie the two ends to the top of the pumpkin in the predrilled hole. Tie one of the single strand twine beads to the bottom drilled hole. Repeat connecting the 4 bead strands to the pumpkins. The tassel strand should be at the end of your garland.
That’s it, now hang your garland and enjoy!!

Stay strong and God bless! ♥
Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
I love your fun twist for fall using cheetah print pumpkins.
Happy Fall,
Kippi
I love the look of the print with the mustard yellow or really any color combo. Thanks for the visit Kippi. Happy Fall to you and your family!
So Cute! I’m a stress project girl too. Probably why I have so many things going at once…ha!
What a good craft project to alleviate stress! I like that you are able to customize the garland with any scrap paper to fit your home decor. Great seasonal decor tutorial that could work for Christmas or any holiday, really.
Thanks Kelli, yes it could fit any style of home and any season. Love that you can buy inexpensive seasonal wood cut outs during the current season. This would be so easy to change the pumpkins to the current theme. Thanks girl!
Terrie, This is adorable and not your every day garland. It’s not the norm and that’s why I like it so much.
Pinned
Thanks Cindy. I think it could be changed to whatever theme you are working on. Very easy to do.
