Welcome to Fall Season 2022, I am joining in with the girls sharing as we decorate our homes for Fall. You will find lots of Fall inspiration to decorate your home this year. First room will be our kitchens, today we are decorating our countertops. Adding pops of color along with a few fall elements, this will transform your space with ease.
My Fall Kitchen Countertop Decor
The pop of color will be the traditional Fall colors again this year, but with more deeper tones. Dark terracotta orange will be the main color.
Sink area
I always love decorating the sink area, with seasonal hand soap and dish towels. Adding the soap on a pretty pedestal or tray with a cute pumpkin, what better view while doing dishes? I find my soaps mostly in Tj Maxx or Ross, they have different scents and pretty containers to choose from. Dish towels are an easy way to decorate with, by placing it on a cute towel ring or even on the handle of your appliances. I find cute seasonal dish towels in Tuesday Mornings or Tj Maxx.
Added touches of Fall
Decorating your countertops doesn’t mean removing the functional items, add a small Fall element, such as a small sign, pumpkin or colorful dish.
Creating Fall vignettes
Keep in mind while decorating your countertops keep area clear for preparing your meals. I decorate my countertops and still have plenty of room to prep our meals. My decor vignettes are tucked in back under the upper cabinets. I do have plenty of cabinets to store all my kitchen appliances, so I do not want to leave them out on display.
I add seasonal changes to the two staple pieces I keep on my counter year-round, which are my lantern and corner basket with a lamp.
The Wooden Cage Lantern was purchased in Kirkland’s, I modified it to place under my upper cabinets and to sit pretty decor inside.
Inside the lantern:
- Wicker placemat from Dollar General
- Autumn dish towel
- small urn with Dollar Tree stems inside
- Distressed Hobby Lobby Pumpkin
- Hobby Lobby Hello Fall Sign
For the basket
- Two Boxwood Stems from Walmart
- Two Fall Picks from Hobby Lobby
- One large Distressed Pumpkin from Hobby Lobby
- Small white pumpkins – had on hand
- Burlap clip pumpkins from Dollar Tree
Decorating wall shaker peg rack
I didn’t forget to decorate my DIY shaker peg rack I placed in the kitchen.
- 1 whitewash round cutting board
- 1 chalk board cutting board sign from Dollar Tree
- 1 metal pumpkin – had on hand
- 1 Dollar Tree Fall dish towel
- 1 knitted potholder
- 1 Mini Cutting Board Ornament from Hobby Lobby
Well, that’s it, my countertops are all decorated. Thank you for coming by and viewing how I decorated our kitchen countertops. I hope you found inspiration for your home this Fall season. Be sure to keep watching, I will be sharing more this week of our kitchen and how I style it for Fall.

Terrie I love how you sourced everything out! I still want the basket and small lamp! So pretty and fit perfectly under your upper cabinets. As always you do such a great job decorating. I always like mine, but then I see yours and want to redo what I’ve done here. Great job! Such inspiration.
I do love a lamp there, we use it as a night light. Thank you Tammy for your sweet comment.
