Welcome back to another thrift store makeover, I love giving items a brand-new look on a budget. If you do too, you will want to continue to read on. If not, maybe just enjoy what I did to my thrift store bunny!
While searching for Easter inspiration I came across this bunny from Apollo Box. With a few changes to my thrift store bunny, I can give it a similar look.
Let’s take a closer look at the bunny laying on his belly.
I am using my thrift store bunny I gave a makeover to in 2018. You can find the first makeover here THRIFT STORE MAKEOVER.
Bunny Makeover
To give my bunny the look of the high-end bunny it needs texture, I am applying on roll-on texture. I used this on a couple DIYs already. I am loving this product.
With a chip brush I taped on the roll-on texture all over the bunny.
After I have the texture on the bunny, I made brush strokes creating hair like markings.
Once the texture dried, I gave the bunny one coat of Ever Better Beige by Behr.
Painting the inside ears and the tip of the nose with Rachel Pink by Sherwin Williams.
Detailing the eyes with brown, black and white paint.
Shading the bunny with bronze craft paint.
Painting on the bronze then using the chip brush to soften the lines.
Here is my version of the high-end bunny planter.
It’s not a perfect match to the high-end bunny, but it’s my spin on it. I love the details my bunny has now. I hope you continue to watch as I style the bunny in our home this Easter season!
