I typically end my holiday decorating out on our front stoop, it’s nice to have a festive entrance to welcome our guests. Better late than never!! Tammy Patina and Paint will be sharing her front porch as well. I will have her link at the end of my post.
I may not have a lot of decorations outside for my Christmas as last year, but it does greet our guest with the feel and looks of Christmas when they reach our front door. Everything I gathered is things I had on hand. I changed bows and add a few more details to some. Here is what I gathered.
Starting with the wreath, I shared how I made the wreath yesterday on my social media.

Using a strong vacuum suction cup hook to the glass instead of placing a wreath metal door hanger over the top of the door helps to prevent scratching the paint to the door.
Keeping my DIY Wall plaque the same from last Christmas.
I didn’t have to drill holes in my brick to place screws for the frame to hang on. I used metal brick clips. They work perfectly, I measure the picture hook, attach the clips to the brick in position. I hang the frame as normal.
I love how it complements the wreath.
Next is filling the only corner I have to decorate, which is a small area!
In the corner I place a metal ski plaque I found in Old Time Pottery. In front of the skis I placed a concrete snowman, I fancied him up a bit, next year he is getting a fresh coat of paint!
To the side of the snowman I placed a small faux Christmas tree inside a Christmas tin.
Instead of placing back the pretty garland I had up above the door last year I added a sign I purchased in Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago. I also hung my Christmas swags I made last year back up on each side of the door. I used my brick clips for all three items.
The sign hangs down lower than the brick but the storm door clears the sign about 2 inches.
The last touch to the front stoop is a holiday rug. I found this in Big Lots a couple years ago.
I can call my front stoop complete and move on to the last room in our home, the laundry room which is my back entryway for our guest. Until then let me show you a few more photos of our Christmas front stoop.

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
OH, Terrie! This is the cutest front porch. From the snowman all the way up to the sign above the door everything just screams come on in. Great job. Can’t wait to see your home tour.
