Welcome back into my laundry room! You guys! It’s finally time for the laundry room reveal! I’ve been sharing bits and pieces of the room for 6 weeks now.   It may seem like it was a labor-intensive project…this was by far the most rewarding.

If you’re just joining me, go have a peek at the previous weeks where you will see the beginning of the refresh and all the updates leading up today.

As you know, Tammy from Patina and Paint has been giving her laundry room a refresh as well.  She is sharing her laundry room reveal which I will have her laundry room’s reveal at the end of my post.

Before I share the finished space with you, remember that this is not only our laundry room but it’s also our back entryway.

Reminder of how the laundry room looked before I started this project.

Let’s start at the beginning of this refresh.  I created an inspirational mood board for this project, I gave you my plans and thoughts of how I want the room to look and feel.

The first major project I tackled was the cabinets.  Once was painted Seattle Grey by Benjamin Moore, which looks cute, but now, I want a warmer color for the cabinets.

Second project was changing the back wall’s buffalo check to more of a sophisticated plaid.

Another major project was the bench wall.  I wanted to create more of a built-in bench area.

Before the exterior door was painted white and showing a lot of wear and tear.

Now we are up to date, ready to see how my laundry room looks all put together?  Here it is…

The cabinets give off a neutral vibe which reflect the transitional style I am trying to create in our home.

The settle plaid design provides a visual balance to the room.  In our small room with the large appliances and the bench wall I went with a soft neutral plaid pattern to keep it calming to the eyes.

Adding simple boards to the existing shelf and bench gave a finished look to the wall.

Since the time I shared the bench wall with you, I did change the stain to match the color of the cabinets.

Another perfect addition to the laundry room was the washer and dryer countertop.  It allows the top surface to be level and prevents things falling behind or in between the appliances.

To choose the color for the door was simple, I went with the same color as the bench wall to give a sense of harmony and balance to the room.

When finding a rug for this room was harder than I thought.  I bet I purchased and returned 10 rugs before I found this one, Grey Taupe Vintage Washable Runner.  A huge plus it is a washable rug and has a gripper backing to keep from moving around.

The colors and pattern couldnt be any more perfect!

Now comes the decorations.  I kept with all the pretty decor I shared previously, except with the addition of the plant I placed on the bench.  Found the Artificial Pandanus Leaf Plant in Natural Seagrass Pot in Walmart.

And the Beige Cosmo Sprays I found in Hobby Lobby to place in the vase on the countertop.

I choose the beige color instead of the white cosmos flowers because the beige ties in with the lighter wood pieces I placed in the room.

Up on the shelf I decided to use the cutting board instead of the wicker tray, the wood part of the board matches the color of the cabinets perfectly.

My plans were to add more to the shelf, but it was too busy.  I am happy with the look I create on the shelf.

I placed my safety pin plaques back up on the wall as they were before.  I did spray paint them with Rust-oleum flat black paint.

Changing out the light fixture has brightened up the space.  It is a simple light fixture which is the perfect style for the room.  Overlook the white bulb in the fixture, a clear LED is on its way.

I painted my LAUNDRY wall plaque black and placed it under the clothes hanging rod, high enough so it is seen when I sit my wicker basket on the dryer.

On the side wall I placed a frame of three potted evergreens.  I removed the glass from the frame, painted the frame black and the mat the color of the wall color, linen.

What do you think of the refreshed laundry room?
