HOW TO REVAMP A WREATH

The next best thing to a beautiful, decorated fall porch is hanging a wreath you created yourself on the door.

I normally make my own wreath starting from scratch, but this year I am going to take an old fall wreath and revamp it for our front porch.

So today, I am going to share how you can take an old wreath and a few basic materials to create a fresh new wreath from a wreath you already have.

The basic materials are simple, here is what you need:

  • a fall wreath
  • a few fall picks
  • a pretty ribbon.

First, I took the premade wreath and fluffed it up.  After fluffing, I looked to see where the bare spots are.

I placed the picks into the wreath to fill in the holes.

To give it a little more fall flare I added a bow.  I made a simple two loop bow.

With floral wire, I thread the wire in the middle knot in the back of the bow, wrapping it around the wreath to secure the bow to the wreath.

My wreath had several leaves and berries which was pretty as is, but adding a few basic fall materials gave the wreath a new look for our front door this fall.

I will be sharing how my wreath looks up on my door next week.  I hope you come back to see.
