Today we are back into the Family room decorating our mantels and hearth. I will have the girl’s mantels linked at the bottom of my page. For now, let me show you how I have our mantel decorated.
The Mantel
I used a basic Christmas garland for the base, added a berry and pinecone garland on top of the base and intertwine the two garlands into one full beautiful garland.
I draped the garlands with a 30 inch hang over on each side of the mantel, laying the garland on the mantel halfway and the other half of the mantel I draped the garland over the mantel.
Added a strand of warm white lights to the garland.
I added two ribbons to the mantel, a 4 inch wired Poinsettia ribbon and a green and white striped wire ribbon.
I love how both of them look together.
Sitting on top of the mantel, I placed three evergreen trees in different heights.
I purchased two more of the Dollar Tree gold reindeer, I did remove the jewel snowflake and added a ribbon around the neck of both.
Draping the garland gave me room to decorate the mantel with the trees and reindeer.
To balance out the mantel, I added two red Christmas stocking.
To dress up the stocking, I added a green ribbon with bells on each end of the ribbon.
The Hearth
I kept the hearth simple. Leaning a sign to the fireplace right under the stockings.
Added a small lantern with a battery-operated candle sitting inside.
To finish the hearth, I placed a large pinecone sitting in front of the sign.
Well, that’s it, I am calling my mantel decorated, what do you think?
Tomorrow, I will be sharing a wall decoration I’m placing on one of the walls here in the Family room and Friday decorating the tree. I hope you come here to see how they turn out.

Terrie your mantle is GORGEOUS! I love that ribbon. The reindeer and trees… so pretty! I can’t wait to see your tree all decorated beside the mantle. What a showstopper! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you Tammy. The ribbon is my favorite ribbon of all!
