Now that all my DIY decorations are created and placed in the Foyer I thought I would give you the tour of the room.
Let’s get started by walking through the front door.
I really like having the tree tucked in the corner. It is the second year for the tree to be placed there. It’s a great Christmas welcome to our guest.

I added a naughty & nice list ribbon to the tree. I made the paper list with shipping paper and a black sharpie. I jotted down names, can you tell if you made the list? 🙂
Doesn’t Santa’s mailbox look cute next to the tree? If you missed the tutorial on how I changed up my mailbox you can go here ⇒ CHRISTMAS MAILBOX REVAMP
Swinging around to the Foyer table.
My inspiration for the room’s theme was my Kirkland’s Santa’s Naughty & Nice frame. I purchased several years ago. Although Kirkland’s doesn’t carry this print, they have several beautiful Christmas frames you can purchase.
I set up my foyer table for Santa this season so it will be easy for him to open his mail and stamp his naughty and nice book.
There are all types of DIYs on his desk. Let’s start with his naughty and nice book.
I took my DIY burlap cover book opened the book to the center, I printed out two pages I created using Microsoft Word. Placed a piece of ribbon down the center for his book mark. For his stamps here’s what I did:
- I took two old wooden stamps
- I removed the rubber part of the stamp
- I used hot glue and wrote NICE and NAUGHTY
- I used paint to cover the glue word and there you go.
I found the little typewriter at TjMaxx two years ago.
I made some envelopes dressed to Santa and placed them around the typewriter.
You notice my SANTA’S HOUR GLASS? Looks so cute on his desk doesn’t it? I placed a few toys on his desk so Santa could feel at home. 🙂
I think I created a cute little office area for Santa.
Looks like he might be playing instead of checking his mail, what do you think?

Oh my gosh! It’s a dream ! I love the mailbox Terrie ❤️❤️❤️
Isn’t it cute Maureen? Thank you. I am so happy I brought it down from the attic.
I LOVE the table!! The book and typewriter are perfect! It all reminds me of Christmas when I was little. I used to have a book that had that picture of Santa in it and I remember looking every year to see if my name was on his list. 🙂 Pinning this so I can make that book!!
That’s what I was aiming for is bringing the kid out of us. It’s always viewing those beautiful homes. I love those, but the most memorable part of Christmas was when we were little and Santa! So happy I brought a memory to you Michelle!
Love that you had a theme and really played up on that idea. The ribbon list of names on the tree to Santa’s desk…perfect and fun. Very different twist to welcoming your guests. Love every bit.
Thanks Kelli. Yes very different than what you would normally would see now a days. I love bringing the kid out of all of my readers. It is always nice viewing the beautiful and glamorous Christmas homes but I love how this reminds me of childhood memories.
Terrie this is so CUTE! I love how creative you are. You inspire me every day!
Thanks Tammy. It isn’t beautiful or elegant but a fun space. I believe that Christmas is a fun and jolly holiday. Brings the kids out of all of us!
