I stopped in Old Time Pottery to look for three glass containers for our cabinet in the Family room. This store is the place I could spend a lot of time in, just looking down every aisle. While I was in there I thought I would look for my clearance item as well. Lo and behold guess what I found 75% off?
You got to be kidding me! 🙂 Look at the sticker of the container I picked up.
Look at the chart of the clearance price.
I picked up three tall square cylinder vases.
I then ran into the Dollar Tree where I picked up 6 tubes of their ornaments. I don’t know why I didn’t run to Tennessee to buy a lottery ticket because it was my lucky day. Dollar Tree had blush ornaments! It was a tube of 12 ornaments with 4 silver, 4 gold and 4 blush ornaments. I figured I would need 2 tubes per container. I removed the silver ornaments and added a couple of large gold ornaments that I had on hand.
I made sure that the three vases has equal amount of ornaments.
I put 4 Christmas picks on the cabinet.
Put one vase in the center of the cabinet.
I placed one on each side of the center vase.
I like the simple decoration on the cabinet.
I am so happy you stopped by here today! Make sure you jump over to my sweet friend’s home to see what type of clearance items they have to share with you. Just click on their link and I will take you right over!

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
This is so pretty, Terrie! Love it! It goes perfectly with the decor in your entry. Dollar Tree saw you coming for sure! I haven’t seen any blush ornaments at mine.
Thank you Tara. This Christmas season I tried to keep the colors to blend.
I would have to say it seemed to been my lucky day. I have been in Dollar Tree several times a week and have not seen the blush either but they just got a shipment and it had a few tubes of that color. I did open a box just to find one more tube. ha!
It was so nice working with you on the monthly challenge.
Terrie, I love what you have done with the vases and ornaments! That is seriously a steal of a deal for those glass vases! You can’t ever have too many vases! And, I love that you filled them with ornaments!! Such a darling idea!

Thank you Emily! I like how the three looks up on the cabinet.
I have a great time working with you on this challenge every month.
Love the combo of gold and blush. You really did luck out and you created a beautiful display! Love it. Merry Christmas!
Thank you Susan! I must say I did luck out. I have been in the Dollar Tree so many times I lose count and in all those times have I seen blush ornaments until the day I found the vases. I am in love with the simplicity of the three vases on the cabinet.
You and your family have the most memorable Holiday season!
