CARROTS, BLOSSOMS & A BUNNY TABLESCAPE

Hello there!  Welcome back to Decorate and More with Tip!  I have a treat for you today as I promised yesterday.  I am in the kitchen today showing you my table I decorated for the Easter season.  Now, I know I won’t have my family sitting around the table this Easter season, but I am alright with that.  As a mother, we just want to protect our family.  The best way we can protect them is to make them stay at their homes until we are safe to be around others without the threat of getting the virus.  I know we will be sitting around this same table giving our blessings of being healthy and safe.

To see how I set my table you can check the tutorial up on my Facebook page.  CARROTS, BLOSSOMS & A BUNNY TABLE.

Still shopping my home for items to use on my table.  I gathered plates, napkins and a few DIYs to create a setting that will at least put a smile on my face when I walk into the room.  I think even though we aren’t having a family dinner for Easter we still can have a pretty set table.  If anything to cheer us up.

I created a table with bright color blossoms, carrots and a bunny.

The Centerpiece

To create my centerpiece I first started with a platform.  I went out to the shed grabbed a piece of wood cut it to the size of 18 inches.  Took the curbside table legs I found and cut 4 small pegs for the legs.  I used the nail gun and attached the pegs to the piece of wood.  I didn’t stain the piece.  It is the raw wood and the legs as I found them, both I cleaned well before placing them together.

Taking one of my taller bunnies, I attached a little bowtie around his neck.  I placed him on the platform along with a little wired pail.  I added reindeer moss inside and tuck flowers and greenery inside, creating a waterfall effect with the flowers.  I placed two carrots as well in the arrangement.

The Place Setting

For the place setting I brought out my white distressed charger plates, green Dollar Tree dinner plates and like always my Mud Pie monogram salad plates.  Since the table is just for show I am not going to put a table runner, tablecloth or cloth place mats, I decided to keep my white wicker place mats on the table.  I am using my green linen napkins and my DIY bunny ears napkin rings.  I have the bunny ears napkin ring up on my facebook page.  You can scroll down my page to find the tutorial.  BUNNY EAR NAPKIN RINGS.

The Final Accents

You know I like to add a little accents to each place setting on this table I added my DIY Basket.  You can check out the DIY tutorial here ⇒ DIY DOLLAR TREE EASTER BASKET DECOR.

I hope you liked my colorful Easter table in our kitchen this season.  I had fun searching the home for things I could use and making the items I needed.

  1. Awe thank you so much for your kindness and visits. Yes….I shopped my home and created a few things that I didn’t have. I was told that I would be lost on the absent of hot glue more so than toilet paper. ha!

  2. Yes Terrie it is the same here in Canada. Today is my Birthday and unable to have any family in. The good part is we live on a farm and our son and his family also live beside us. My other son lives only a few miles away as well, so able to see them at a distance. Just want everyone to stay safe. Your table is lovely and we appreciate your doing it for all of us who read your blog. Thanks for what you do!

    1. Darlene, first off….Happy Birthday my friend.

You are so sweet and I am so happy that you enjoy my blog. That means so much.

At first I was a little upset when we cancelled Easter dinner, but I realized that their safety is far more important than a dinner gathering. Good thing for facetime. Happy Easter my friend!

  3. What a fun and colorful Easter Tablescape, Terrie! Your place settings are so pretty (love those salad dishes), and your centerpiece is adorable! That bunny! So cute! You are doing an amazing job finding items around your home or DIY’ing the rest! Thanks for the inspiration! I’m off to find some things to decorate my table, even though of course it will just be hubby and I!!

    1. Christine, I am so happy I am inspiring you to decorate your table. It is hard for us to not have family gatherings right now, so why does our home have to be dreary. I hope you cheer yourself up and decorate your table AND share it with us. It will be just my hubby and me at our breakfast bar this Easter. My heart goes out to the families that loss love ones so I am counting my blessings that mine are safe at home. Have an awesome weekend my sweet friend!
