Welcome to Decorate and More with Tip. Today I’m sharing a fun way to have a little July 4th lunch out on the porch. If you are coming over from Rita’s Panoply, did you enjoy her table? I am sure she gave you tons of inspiration. I am joining 20 other bloggers to share some inspiration on tables dressed for the upcoming holiday, July 4th. The Patriotic Tablescape Blog Hop is hosted by Chloe, Celebrate and Decorate and Andrea, Design Morsel. After you view my 4th of July table at the bottom of my page I have listed the 20 other blogger’s tables for you.

My first thought about my July 4th table was dishes, I would love to set a beautiful table with fancy dishes for each place setting, but let’s be real….we don’t want to spend our day washing the dishes. Most of us like the simple fact of eating and having fun with our families, I know I do. I am going to share a fun table setting giving us the option to eat, toss and have fun.
I am not too sure how warm it will be July 4th for eating on our back porch, but hopefully having an early lunch with the ceiling fan going it will keep us comfortable. I am sure the menu for the day will be something off the grill. 🙂
For the table’s backdrop I placed my white table cloth on the table. With all the colors and patterns on the table the white keeps it less busy. This can be thrown in the washer to be clean later. I placed my DIY plastic tablecloth wreath in the center adding a vase and American flags tucked inside.
To view my tutorial for the plastic tablecloth wreath click here → DIY DOLLAR TREE WREATH.
Even outside on my patio table I still like to layer starting with my red rattan place mats and DIY star plate chargers. You can check out my tutorial here → DIY STAR CHARGERS. I placed a solid white Chinet plate topped with a July 4th paper dessert plate to create a pretty place setting.
I added little navy pails to hold the plasticware and napkin for each placesetting. I also added a little package of pop candy and party popper to enjoy after our meal.
Can’t wait to see what the party popper does.
Now I have the table all planned out…it’s time to figure out what’s going to be on the grill.

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
