JULY 4TH PATIO TABLE DECOR

Welcome to Decorate and More with Tip.  Today I’m sharing a fun way to have a little July 4th lunch out on the porch.  If you are coming over from Rita’s Panoply, did you enjoy her table?  I am sure she gave you tons of inspiration.   I am joining 20 other bloggers to share some inspiration on tables dressed for the upcoming holiday, July 4th.  The Patriotic Tablescape Blog Hop is hosted by Chloe, Celebrate and Decorate and Andrea, Design Morsel.  After you view my 4th of July table at the bottom of my page I have listed the 20 other blogger’s tables for you.

My first thought about my July 4th table was dishes, I would love to set a beautiful table with fancy dishes for each place setting, but let’s be real….we don’t want to spend our day washing the dishes.  Most of us like the simple fact of eating and having fun with our families, I know I do.  I am going to share a fun table setting giving us the option to eat, toss and have fun.

I am not too sure how warm it will be July 4th for eating on our back porch, but hopefully having an early lunch with the ceiling fan going it will keep us comfortable.  I am sure the menu for the day will be something off the grill. 🙂

For the table’s backdrop I placed my white table cloth on the table.  With all the colors and patterns on the table the white keeps it less busy.  This can be thrown in the washer to be clean later.  I placed my DIY plastic tablecloth wreath in the center adding a vase and American flags tucked inside.

To view my tutorial for the plastic tablecloth wreath click here →  DIY DOLLAR TREE WREATH.

Even outside on my patio table I still like to layer starting with my red rattan place mats and DIY star plate chargers.  You can check out my tutorial here → DIY STAR CHARGERS.  I placed a solid white Chinet plate topped with a July 4th paper dessert plate to create a pretty place setting.

I added little navy pails to hold the plasticware and napkin for each placesetting.  I also added a little package of pop candy and party popper to enjoy after our meal.

Can’t wait to see what the party popper does.

Now I have the table all planned out…it’s time to figure out what’s going to be on the grill.

  1. It looks like you are ready for the 4th, Terrie! What a fun and festive table! I love the navy pails and the DIY Dollar Tree Wreath. Have a wonderful holiday with your family! Pinned!

  2. I love everything about this tablescape; it’s so pretty and fun! The navy pails are such a cool addition. Now I’m feeling so inspired!

  3. Terrie, those pop rocks sure brought back some childhood memories! They make perfect 4th of July favors. I love your festive and casual outdoor tablescape. Using paper plates makes so much sense when it’s hot. And why not? They look great and make life easier! It was fun hopping with you!

  4. Terrie, you certainly kept things real for this 4th of July tablescape, and with finesse! I wasn’t sure if the plates were melamine or paper in the opening photo, so kudos for upping your game in the appearance. The individual buckets look like total fun. I can see my husband’s family getting sheer joy out of those. Love your centerpiece too. Lots of really creative DIY projects on this table. Well done! Happy summer!

    1. Thanks Rita. I want to get some melamine dishes for the patio but haven’t as of yet. I love the little pails myself and will have fun with them this coming 4th of July. With the COVID-19 we will be staying put at home so we need to have some type of fun hoping we will be able to sit in our yard to watch neighbor’s firework displays.

      Happy July 4th Rita

  5. Terrie, your table is spot on for how the holiday should be enjoyed…..that is the concentration is on fun with the family and not washing dishes. I love your tablecloth wreath centerpiece. It is all about keeping it easy. And yet, your table is lovely and looks like you spent hours fussing over the details. Your little treat pails are such a fun idea and really adds to the party atmosphere. I am sure the fourth of July will be an enjoyable time at your house.

    1. Thank you so much Marsha. We have a new grandbaby so my time wants to be holding and playing with her. The last thing I want to do is wash and clean up. They grow up way too fast as it is. It’s her first July 4th so MiMi wants to celebrate with her.

  6. I really like the star chargers. Can’t wait to check out the DIY. Great idea to use paper. There are so many choices now it’s amazing. Thanks for participating in the hop.

    1. Thanks Andrea. I haven’t ventured out to go shopping so I used what I had on hand. I want it to be as simple as it can be. I want more time to spend the day with our new grand baby. Happy July 4th Andrea to you and your family.

  12. Terrie, Your table is such a festive and easy way to celebrate the red, white and blue! Your star-spangled chargers are so cute! I don’t know that I would have had the patience to stencil all those stars around the edges. So happy to be hopping with you today. Wishing you a Happy 4th ♥

  13. I love your festive 4th of July table! Patio dining is definitely the way to go for the summer and I love that you used disposable plates. Now if you want to have a “socially distant” dinner, you can safely throw everything away. Such a cute table and I love those chargers! Great hopping with you again! Pinned as always!

    1. Thanks Donna. Yes…I am afraid that the normal activities will probably be cancelled. I hope we can enjoy being home bound this July 4th. I am planning some outdoor fun with games and ending the evening with some fireworks. Hope you have a fun and safe July 4th!

  16. Very cute table Terrie, love the DIY chargers. The blue pails are great addition and who doesn’t remember Pop Rocks?

Enjoy hooe it won’t be too hot on the 4th.

    Cindy

    1. Thank you Cindy. I love the chargers too. I know when I saw the pop rock candy I just had to add them to my pails. They were so fun when we were young. Bringing us some fun at are age is always something I like to do.
