I’m back, yesterday I shared my plans for the kitchen, today I am sharing my hutch and kitchen table styled for every day.  Not only am I sharing how I style my two pieces, Tammy Patina and Paint will be sharing her two pieces as well.  I’ll have her link at the bottom of my page.

My hutch is one of the pieces in our home I like to decorate first, certain pieces I like to decorate first to help create the style I am going for.  I have a plan, but sometimes what I plan isn’t how I finished up with.

For example, when I started the hutch, I wanted to use mostly dishes with just a few other items.  I tried but it didn’t look like something in our home.  I have to keep it me; you know what I am saying?  So, I removed everything off the hutch and started all over again.  This time using a bit of everything.

How I styled my every day hutch

Top Shelf

I started with the canvas print I found in Hobby Lobby on the clearance shelf.  (Not available online).

To one side I created a small vignette, I placed a Dollar Tree gray faux wood charger, an off white pitcher in front and two blue bowls filled with faux pears.

To the other side, another Dollar Tree charger, glass cloche with a metal white riser and a faux plant.  I also added Ms. Kehlani’s photo in a Dollar Tree faux rustic wooden frame.

Second Shelf

Started on the side of the shelf with a Kirkland’s canvas, adding it to the plant slat.  I found in Hobby Lobby the little blueish grey teapot and sugar bowl on the clearance shelf. (Not available online).  Adding a piece of a Cosmo Spray.

To the other side I placed 4 blue salad plates, one on an easel and three stacked.  I placed a sugar bowl on the plates.  To the side of the stack plates, I placed a vase with more of the Cosmo flowers inside.

To the center of the second shelf, I placed a large wooden bowl placing a smaller wooden bowl sitting inside.

Top of the cabinet

As you know, I love using my rectangular tray to the hutch.  I placed it differently this time, at an angel.  In the tray I placed in back of the tray a small cutting board.  This provides balance of color for the tray.  I then added a faux fern, two rolled up dish towels and a wooden house sign.

To the side of the tray, I added a canister I found on a clearance shelf in Hobby Lobby along with a stack of clearance appetizer plates found in Kirkland’s with a white creamer with a succulent inside. (Items are not available online).

The overall look of each shelf.

One last look of the full decorated hutch.

And of course, I made a video of the decorating process if you’re interested in taking a look at that!
