DIY BUNNY GARLAND

Hello and Welcome!  Today I am sharing another burlap Easter DIY.  I am getting a lot of use from the roll of burlap I purchased from Wal-mart.  🙂 It is a very easy project.  So let’s get started!

Here are the items you will need to make your own Bunny Garland.

For my friends that would like to buy a bunny garland similar to the one I made check out BUNNY GARLAND.

Making my garland base a little thicker than one piece of twine, I measured my area and took the length and braided three pieces of twine to make my garland base.

Removing the lace from my burlap.

I made 7 little flags for my garland.

To make the flag part:  I measured a 6 1/2 X 7 1/2 inch square, found the center at one end and measured up 1 inch.  From that point I drew a line from the center to each corner of the square.  Cut at the lines, that gave me the fish tail edge.  I made 7 flags.

Here is the pattern I made.

I took my bunny template and made 7 little bunnies out of the lace.

Cut the bunnies and flags out.

I painted Mod Podge onto the lace.

Place it in the center of the flag and brush more Mod Podge over the lace.

Add a dab of hot glue to the bottom of the bunny where his tail would be.

Take a pom and place it to the bunny where you added the hot glue.

Taking more twine and make 7 mini bows.

To make a boy, add the bow to the neck and for a girl, one to an ear.

Taking the mini crafts clothes pins and attach two pins per flag.

Take your twine and add the flags evenly to the braided twine.

Hang your garland up!
