DIY ROBIN EGGS

When you don’t have the item in your hands, make some with your hands!  Here’s how..

Here are the things I used:

  •  minature Easter eggs
  • Pool and Ink chalk paint
  • toothbrush

Taking three eggs out of the bag and painting them with the Pool chalk paint.

Let them dry.  To speckle the eggs I used Ink chalk paint and a toothbrush.

Placing one egg in something deep so the paint doesn’t splatter every where.  I am using a deep bowl.  I take the toothbrush, cover it with paint, taking a finger pushing back the bristles and splatting the paint onto the egg (and every where). 🙂

I turn the egg and do it until the egg is covered with specks.

Let the egg dry before decorating them.

I love how they look.  Have fun painting and speckling your eggs.

  1. This is so cute. You gave me an idea of an activity to do with my boys. We love (maybe just me and the boys do it cause they love me😜) to do crafts and projects. They are getting to big for the little cute things usually found in Easter baskets so mom has to get creative from this year foward.
    Love you Terrie
    Keep up the great work

    1. Bridgett, thank you for coming by and saying hey! Aw, how sweet! I remember my kids at Easter sitting around the table with their two cousins dying our Easter Eggs. They had so much fun and so did I watching them. Oh how I miss those days. Cherish them always Bridgett!

Glad that I gave you some inspiration. That’s why I love to blog! Thank you again sweet girl!

  2. Terrie! I love the idea to make your own eggs!! I was actually going to buy the eggs at hobby lobby and I already had made my nests. Thank you for the idea!!

    1. Hey there Shae! Thanks for stopping by my place. I am glad you did and that you enjoy the little tip on making the eggs yourself. They turned out so cute. Regardless what size eggs you want to use the same procedure would work. I have seen this technique done several times and glad I remembered to do it myself. Have a great weekend!
