It’s time for another 10 on the 10th blog hop.  This month’s topic couldn’t come at the right time.  Organization….we share some inspiration on how we organize something in our homes for $10 or less.  I want to thank Ann over at The Apple Street Cottage for hosting this month.  I will list all of the other girl’s blog on organization at the bottom of my page.

I am in the purging and organizing mode right now, are you?  The holidays are over, it’s a new year, fresh start.  Today, I am going to share how I organize my makeup draw with some items I found at the Dollar Tree.  Not only did I organize my drawer, but my daughter’s too.  She fell in love with how mine was so we organized her makeup drawer with the same items.  Let’s get started organizing my makeup drawer.

Here are the items I purchased at the Dollar Tree.

• 6 Dollar Tree Butter Containers
• 1 Lipstick organizer
• 1 wire desk organizer
• I purchased a three clear divider but didn’t end up using it

My items totaled $8 plus tax.

Before you go purchase your items to place in your drawer, you will want to figure out how many containers you will need.  Group your items to see how many different containers you want.

I thought by using the clear containers the drawer would look neater than the colorful plastic little baskets Dollar Tree has.  Let’s get organizing !!

Like everything, I like to clean the area before starting to organize.

I removed the bottom of the butter containers since I won’t be using them, but will keep them in case I can use them for a future DIY. 🙂

The clear divider I purchased was to wide for the space, so I am using a desk organizer.

I placed my containers as shown below.

I have a couple long eyeshadow palettes which I will place in the empty space.

Now to organize my makeup and place in the containers.

I just love opening the drawer and seeing how nice things look and to be able to see what I have.
