FALL CENTERPIECE – PIN RECREATION

Today I am joining in on a Pinterest Recreation.  This is where we take a pin from our Pinterest feed and recreate it with our own style.  The Pin inspiration was from Lavender Brook Farm, Tammy created a beautiful Fall dough bowl arrangement.  We each shared a video tutorial on our Facebook page of our version of her arrangement.  If you want to watch, you can see the tutorial on either two of my social media accounts below.

FACEBOOK page or YOUTUBE channel.

Here is Lavender Brook Farm, Tammy’s arrangement we are going to recreate.

Container to use –

It looks amazing, doesn’t it?  Taking a look at Tammy’s items she used a long dough bowl for her container.  I love the shape and size of the container, I looked at the container I wanted to use and decided not to use a dough bowl but my Kirkland’s container with three glass vases.  Tammy’s container doesn’t have glass candle holders, but I love the look of burning candles during the Fall season.

I removed the middle glass candleholder and replaced it with a taller Dollar Tree holder.  Hot glued it in the center.

Tammy placed each stem inside her container by laying them in place.  My container has floral foam at the bottom, I will secure my stems inside the foam.

How I created a Pinterest Arrangement Pin

The first stem I will be adding to the base to help hide the foam and to give me a nice green base are left over greenery from another project.  I placed the leaves flat on the foam by sticking the pick at an angel to keep the leaves flat.

The amount of leaves I used will not cover the entire container but does give me a pretty green base.

Walmart Bouquet

I purchased a Zinnia and Pumpkin bouquet in Walmart, this spray has several different types of items, flowers, grasses and pumpkins.

To spread out the bouquet in my arrangement, I snipped off each stem from the bundle.

Starting with the flowers; placing one hydrangea and one zinnia on each end of the container and the last zinnia to the center.

The next stems I will be using are three of the grassy type blooms.

I balanced out the stems to fill out the arrangement and not keeping the weight on one side or the other.

Another type of grass, this one has white small bloom, reminds me of baby’s breath.

The two pumpkin stems I will place them last in the arrangement.

Hobby Lobby Picks

The next stems are from Hobby Lobby, Yellow and Green Fox Tail picks.  I bought 4 picks for this arrangement.

I separated and grouped them to place in the arrangement.  Making sure I spread the two evenly throughout the arrangement.

Dollar Tree Sprays

The next stems are from the Dollar Tree, Floral Garden Silver Dollar Artificial Spray, 4 stem. I bought 4 of the yellow and orange sprays.  I cut each off to make 5 stems per spray.

Placed them evenly throughout the arrangement.

The Theme – Pumpkins

Lastly, the theme of the arrangement, pumpkins.

I saved the two Walmart bouquet picks and purchased 4 Velvet Pumpkin picks in Hobby Lobby to complete my arrangement.

To finish my arrangement, I added three candles to the glass cylinders.  Here is my recreation of Lavender Brook Farm’s Fall arrangement.

Not sure yet where I will place my arrangement, but I will be styling this beautiful display of Fall foliage somewhere!

I had fun recreating this Pinterest Pin, it doesn’t have to be exactly what you see, it supposed to give you inspiration to be creative.  What’s fun about it, taking someone else’s vision and making it your own by tweaking it to fit your style.

Again, here is Tammy Lavender Brook Farm’s creation.

Here is mine.
