Have you ever seen someone’s decor that you want so bad, but you just can’t bring yourself to buy the items they used?  I’m sure we have all been there. For me, it is bundles of leaves people uses on their Fall mantels.  You know the full bundles you only need one to fill a vase with?  So, now you know which ones I am talking about, now picture several of those types up on a Fall mantel.  Well, today I am going to be sharing how I created my mantel to resemble theirs but on a budget!

Welcome back into our Family room, today the girls and I are going to share our Fall mantels.  I will have all of their links down at the bottom of my page.

My Fall Mantel Using Dollar Tree Leaf Bundles

I didn’t spend a lot of money on this beautiful arrangement on my mantel.  I purchased 7 orange bundles and 8 tan bundles, 4 wheat bundles and other items I had on hand.

Mantel Decorations

The first thing I added to the mantel was my Kirkland’s frame I gave a new background color to.

I sat my three Kirkland’s gold candlesticks.  To the candlesticks I added three Flameless Tapered battery-operated candles.

For the base of my garland I used a boxwood garland, I had on hand along with a Fall garland.  You could use any type of green garland and a leafy garland for a base.

On the other side of the mantel, behind the garland.  Several different sizes of pumpkins, I placed one on a candleholder.

Now it’s time to decorate the garland. I stuck in the 15 Dollar Tree leaf bundles inside the base garland.  I rotated the colors to make sure I didn’t put two of the same color next to each other.

Dollar Tree Leaf Garland

I didn’t fluff them out, I just poked them into the garland.

The next stem is the 4 Dollar Tree wheat spray.  I placed two in each end of the garland and one in the center.  The last one was at the bottom of the one on the corner of the mantel.

The last stem is one of my old favorites.  I am not sure where I purchased it, but it is a filt type material and has pumpkin picks.  Very easy to bend into place.

This year I am adding fairy lights to the mantel.  I placed them into my garland.

So, there is my fall mantel! I hope you loved the garland arrangement as much as I do. Oh, and that frame I revamped!! I just love how the orange and gold pops.  I hope you will add a little touch of gold and orange to your holiday decor as well!

  1. Terrie, I love how your mantel turned out! The asymmetrical look is just right. How you got it to stay up there… 😊🍂🍁
    Enjoy your mantel’s new look!

    1. I use nails to keep it all secure. I remove the nails after the season keeping the holes there for the next time I want to place garland. Thanks Barbara!

  2. Oh Terrie! This may be my favorite mantle your have done yet! I love how full the garland is – and lighting it makes it super warm and cozy. And those candlesticks are gorgeous! Thank you so much fo sharing!

    1. Thank you Tammy. I have to admit, I love this mantel as well. The orange and gold of the candle sticks really play well together. I also love how the garland frames the corner of the one side.
