Hello everyone! It seems like I shared my thrift store mirror with you just the other day, didn’t it? Welcome back to our Thrift Store Challenge, there are 6 of us sharing our thrift store finds or repurposing something we have sitting around our home today. I will share all of my friend’s blog links at the bottom of my page. A big thanks to Emily with LeCultivateur and Tara with Stilettos and Shiplap for hosting this fun challenge each month.
No matter where I am I always look for thrift stores so this challenge is always so much fun to do. If you want to see my past Thrift Store challenges you can go to my thrift store page to view all of my THRIFT STORE CHALLNGES POSTS.
I am so excited to share what I did to the bi-fold louver closet door I picked up a year ago from the Habitat restore. Finally !!

First thing I needed to do with the door is to CLEAN it. It was so dusty.
I removed all the hardware and spray painted it with Rust-Oleum bronze spray paint .
With the panels apart I sanded with 220 grit sand paper.
One door down !
Wiped both of them down with a damp cloth. I dry brushed Benjamin Moore Advance Chantilly Lace paint onto the doors. If you want to see how I do my dry brushing technique you can view that HOW I DO MY DRY BRUSHING TECHNIQUE.
I took a damp cloth and wiped off some of the white paint. Placed the hardware back on the doors.
I am placing it in the corner behind my furniture along the sofa wall. I moved things around to fit the new look.
I just love how this fills the back corner. I made a wreath out of Dollar Tree picks and a clearance wreath. I posted the quick tutorial on my Facebook page last week. To view the tutorial on my wreath you can check it out DIY TWIGGY WREATH. For my friends that would like to purchase a wreath like this I found one here BITTERSWEET SUNBURST WREATH.

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂

Thank you Emily. They really did fill the space. The whole wall is complete now. Can’t wait to share the whole wall. I filled the center with my DIY challenge item. 🙂
Love how you transformed these otherwise bland and ordinary doors and made them into a lovely piece of decor! They look great in where you’ve displayed them and I like the dry brushing as well. Perfect!
Thank you so much Tara. The dry brushing technique is so easy I use it a lot! Thanks for hosting such a fun challenge. Have a great Monday.
