SIMPLE BACK PORCH INSPIRATION

It’s time to share our back porch this year, every year I say we are getting new patio furniture, not that we haven’t been looking, we just can’t find a set that Mr. Tip and I can agree on.  UGH!  So, we just keep cleaning the furniture we have.

Today, Tammy Patina and Paint, Corine Junk to Gems and myself are sharing our back porches in a video.  At the bottom of my page, I will share both girl’s video links to see how they are styling their back porches.  But first, let’s take a look at our back porch.

Back in 2018 we had our back porch screened in.  To read the project – BACK PORCH PROJECT.

Last year I shared our back porch and how I refreshed the space in a video – WELCOME TO OUR BACK PORCH.

Since our cushions are worn and losing their fluff, we decided to buy new cushions until we can find patio furniture we both can agree on.

We found the Solid Patio cushions, in the color Volcanic at Old Time Pottery on sale, which helps, cushions aren’t cheap especially when you have to buy 8!

Y’all know how I love throw pillows.  The main pillows I found material in Hobby Lobby, last year to make the lumbar pillows and coffee table cushions.

The other throw pillows I found on Amazon.

My coffee table was a thrift store find, to read how I transformed the table into a cushion table click here – THRIFT STORE COFFEE TABLE MAKEOVER.  I placed two baskets to the bottom and my little Dollar General stepping stone turtle.

To the cushions I added a Dollar General tray with a wicker lantern and plant.

Underneath the table I placed the same rug as last year, the Nicole Miller Patio Country Azalea.  To keep it from being damage from the harsh winter weather, I roll it up and store it up in the attic.

To the patio table, I placed the placemats from last year.  Remember I spray painted them, look they still look great!

I kept the decorations on the wall hanging the same as last year.  Adding back my DIY FAUX BOXWOOD TOPIARIES, they also stayed in great shape.

Still loving the YAKII LANTERNS we placed around the screen walls, they give a soft ambient lighting in the evening.  If you remember last year I gave them a change to fit my look, if you missed that makeover, you can see it here – LANTERN MAKEOVER.

Feels so good to have the screened in porch all cleaned and decorated.  I hope I gave you some ideas on decorating your porch or patio.  Make sure you go over and watch my video on cleaning and styling the space.  CLEAN AND DECORATE WITH ME | BACK PORCH.

Don’t forget to go over and watch Tammy and Corine’s video on styling their porches.
