For my craft today I am sharing how I gave two terracotta pots a makeover. I had the two pots up in my supply closet asking for a makeover. 🙂 This makeover is simple and super quick, so let’s get started!
I am using English navy and Parchment white craft paint for this craft.
For both terracotta pots I gave two coats of the white craft paint. It dries very fast.
Taking the smaller terracotta pot and the English navy craft paint using a thin bristle paint brush I free-handed stripes to the pot.
Adding a ribbon around the ridge of the pot with hot glue.
That’s it.
On the larger terracotta pot I took again the English Navy and free-hand little herringbone marks.
Added the same ribbon to the ridge with hot glue. Very simple makeover.
I added plants inside my terracotta pots to finish the look.

Love the blue and white over terra cotta. I’ve got some old ones in the garage. Can’t wait to try this. I especially love the herringbone pattern. When I’ve tried to put ribbon on a pot it never seems to work well. Is there a secret? Thanks for participating in the hop.
If you put a thin coat of hot glue it works better than a heavy coat.
