THE WET BAR CLOSET REVEAL

Finally!!!!  It’s time to share the revealing of the wet bar in my daughter’s family room.   It turned out A∼mazing.  We are so happy how it turned out.  We have just a little bit left in her family room before we can call the room complete.  I will share that with you soon!  For now, let me show you her wet bar area.

Let’s take a look way back from the beginning.

AND…..now !!!

Here is what we did in the bar area:

     First –

Adding a wall cabinet.  If you want to see the full project on this step → WALL CABINET.  Finding the upper cabinet unit at the Habitat Restore was a savings itself.  I was able to  add glass to the cabinet doors by cutting the panels out and installing cut glass from Lowe’s.  It was exactly what she was wanting.

We painted the cabinets the same color as the mantel.  To check out the fireplace makeover you can check that out → FIREPLACE MAKEOVER.  The color we used was Powel Gray by Benjamin Moore Advance.

Changing the cabinet handles with T Bar Pull Bars we found on Amazon.  ROCK HARDWARE T BAR.   We spray painted the old hinges metallic silver to match.

The last addition to the cabinet was the wine racks.  I stumbled on the wine racks one day at a Thrift Store. We spray painted a metallic silver also.

     Second –

Adding the back splash.  To check this step out click →  BACKSPLASH PROJECT.  Installing the back splash was another savings since we did it ourselves.

Once we removed the counter top’s to cut the small back splash we had a great space to add a back splash. She found the tile at Home Depot called Jeffrey Court Ice Pencil.  We used Simple Grout – #381 Bright White Pre-Mixed Grout.

     Third step –

Giving the counter top the look of concrete.  To check this step out click → COUNTER TOP MAKEOVER.  I painted the counter top to look like concrete, it was very inexpensive and so easy to achieve.  It matches her décor pieces in the rest of the living room.  I am amazed how well it turned out.

We added a stem glass rack under one side of the upper cabinet.  She placed her larger stem ware glasses there.  The stemware rack was purchased on Amazon Wallniture Under Cabinet Stemware Glass Storage Rack.

     The last step –

We changed the faucet.  We used the old sink and gave it a good polishing with some elbow grease and baby oil.  It came out looking like it was brand new.  The faucet was a little harder to find since the old sink had a two hole insert.  She wanted a we wanted a high neck bar faucet and a lot we found only fit a one hole insert.  We found one she liked on Amazon Modern Bar Sink Faucet, even though it was a single hole insert we decided to add a soap dispenser in the other insert.  Also purchased on Amazon Maxiaeon Soap Dispenser.

On the counter she placed a few things to display.

It does look amazing, doesn’t it?  I think for a couple of amateurs we did an awesome job !! 🙂
