We are finishing up with our Fall decorating in the kitchen. Today we will be decorating the countertops. Joining me will be Tammy, Patina and Paint and Corine Junk to Gems, I will have both of their Decorate with Me | Kitchen Countertops linked at the bottom of my page.
So here is a glimpse of our kitchen before I started to decorate it for Fall.
Fall Kitchen Countertops Inspiration
Let’s get started with the corner upper cabinet. I am adding a few pieces since it is a glass cabinet door. I won’t be moving anything out of the cabinet, I will be pushing things back and adding a few Fall decor pieces.
Now to the countertops, starting with the counter below the corner cabinet I just decorated.
To the outside edge of the countertop.
Placing the tray to the back of the vignette gave it a lighter back drop. I added some Fall eucalyptus stems in a two-tone black vase, one of my DIY terracotta pumpkins and a cookbook stand with a Paula Deen cookbook. I used the cookbook a time or two, but the cover coordinated with the color palette.
Moving over to the cutting board tray.
The frame is a Kirkland’s frame I purchased years ago. They don’t have the smaller version like I have but they have a larger print the same as this one. The little wooden square pumpkin I purchased last year in Dollar General. The black measuring cups and cutting board tray was both purchased in Beall’s outlet.
To the center of the countertops, I always keep the lamp there on top of the Dollar General tray.
To the tray I placed a Fall flower arrangement I purchased last year in Old Time Pottery. Another one of my DIY terracotta pumpkin sits in front.
To the glass canisters I replaced the blue cup in the oatmeal canister with a pumpkin cup.
Moving on to the other side of the range. I have my kitchen aid mixer and utensils.
To the mixing bowl, I like folding over a seasonal dish towel to the bowl. The utensil pitcher was a white pitcher I painted and gave some dots to last year. I placed my wooden utensils inside, added next to it is my copper salt and pepper shakers. I placed a decorative pumpkin on the tray for some Fall touches.
I shared my Fall shaker peg rack up on my social media, here is how it looks all dressed up in Fall.
This finishes the Fall decorating on this side of the kitchen.
To the countertop by the sink, you might recognize this setting.
I love placing seasonal towels on the towel ring. I purchased the two towels years ago. To the riser, I placed seasonal hand soap. I added the ribbon to the neck of the bottle and placed a vase with a Fall stem.
Let’s move over the sink to the little cutting board and canisters.
The three containers we use daily. The tall container holds my tea bags, the shorter one holds my crystal light packets, the pumpkin container holds the sweet-n-low packets. Behind the containers up on the backsplash I placed another Kirkland’s frames that I found on clearance a couple years ago.
Sitting on the Keurig, I placed a pumpkin mug. I added a bow and Fall leaves to the handle. This is for looks only.
To the double tray, I decorated it for fun as well.
The Hello Pumpkin rolling pin was purchased in Dollar Tree, I added the ribbon. The two pumpkins were also from Dollar Tree, I hot glued them together to keep them from moving on the tray. The bottom tray I placed a tiered pumpkin decor, not sure where I purchased that from and the flower picks I created them last year for a Fall garland centerpiece.
On the breakfast bar, we use this countertop all day through, so I leave it bare. I do add a little decor up against the backsplash along with the mail holder.
The little buffalo check bottle was a DIY I made several years ago. The little frame I purchased in Kirkland’s; I need to get an updated photo this year and another Dollar Tree pumpkin.
That completes the countertop decorations.
Our kitchen is now all decorated for Fall 2023, I do love all the Fall colors the room provides, it’s the only room I have decorated for Fall. It motivates me to keep decorating the rest of our home.
I did create a video on decorating the kitchen in a couple videos you can watch them on my social media.

Terrie I love how you decorate your kitchen! You always make it look so effortless when you decorate, when I know it’s not. From using your hand towels to your pumpkin decor everything is perfect. Thanks so much for sharing. I can’t wait to see the rest of your home decorated for Fall.
Thank you, Tammy. I appreciate your kind words; you are right it’s not always easy. It gets easier as I decorate my countertops for each season because I decorate around my staple pieces. Once you like something on your counters you hate to move them, so I just incorporate the season with it. 🙂
