BUFFALO CHIP COOKIE RECIPE – CLASSIC CHRISTMAS TABLE DECOR

I am hosting a Cookie Swap party today, I went through all my cookie recipes for a cookie recipe, I flipped through my recipes and stopped when I came to the Buffalo Chip cookie recipe.  Mr. Tip’s sister gave me this recipe about 25 years or so ago, it’s one of his favorite cookies.   I remember the recipe has several ingredients; it makes about 7 dozen (depending on the size you make them).

I just had to share this recipe with you because you will love the cookies as much as Mr. Tip does.

Buffalo Chip Cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

First Step:

Blend together 2 cups of softened butter, 2 cups packed brown sugar and 2 cups white sugar.

Second Step:

Stir into mixture 4 eggs, 2 teaspoon vanilla, 2 cups oats, 2 cups slightly crumbled corn flakes,2 teaspoon baking soda, 2 teaspoon baking powder, 6oz chocolate chips and 2 cups chopped pecans.

Third Steps:

Gradually add 4 cups of flour to the mixture.

Make sure all ingredients are mixed thoroughly.

Fourth Step:

Place a scoop of cookie mixture, a little smaller than a ping pong ball on an ungreased cookie sheet, space cookie mixture 2 to 3 inches apart.

Fifth Steps:

Place in the middle of your oven.  Cook 10 to 12 minutes.

Let cool and enjoy.  Below I have a printable recipe for you.

Now, it’s time to show you how I set my table for the cookie swap luncheon.

To watch me set my table you can view that on my Facebook page or my YouTube channel.

I am serving, potato soup, salad, bread and dessert, oh and cookies. 🙂

I place two types of napkins on the table, paper and cloth.  Cloth napkin is folded in a Christmas tree, I placed it inside the bowl.  How adorable, right?

The paper napkin I folded to have the wording centered, I placed it under the bowl.

The centerpiece I created from a glass cylinder, added greenery and a candle.  I added my DIY Christmas Rose Wreath around the cylinder.  Two Dollar Tree glass tea candle holders I decorated to finish the centerpiece.

Thank you for joining me as I baked cookies and created a table for my friends.  I hope you enjoyed my post today and gathered some inspiration.
