This DIY is again made out of the roll burlap that I purchased for my DIY BUNNY GARDEN FLAG. I have made several different Easter crafts with the material and still have a lot left. It is very easy and inexpensive to make. As always here is the link for those of you that want to buy one similar to the one I made. BUNNY ART

For those that want to make your own canvas, here are the items you will need:
- canvas wall art from the Dollar Tree – WALL ART
- BURLAP MATERIAL
- Stapler and staples
- scissors
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- pencil
- bunny template – (I shared the link below)
- WAVERLY IVORY chalk paint and paint brush
- DOLLAR TREE JUTE TWINE
Taking the Dollar Tree Canvas from the package.
Remove the canvas from it’s frame. The staples came out fairly easy, I just pulled the canvas away from the frame and the staples came out.
Taking the canvas and placing it on the burlap material to use as a template. I traced around the canvas with a pencil.
Cutting on the lines.
Place the frame on top of the burlap and attach it to the frame.
I stapled in the center of all 4 sides first.
Staple the burlap all around the frame. Making sure you pull it tight.
I trimmed off the excess edges and turned the frame around for the next step.
Below is the pattern, just right click on the bunny and save it to your computer to print it off.
My printer wasn’t working so I free handed my pattern. I centered the bunny on my canvas and trace around the template.
I am using Ivory Chalk paint to paint my rabbit.
I outlined my bunny and then painted it all in.
Putting that to the side to let dry.
For his tail I am making a rosette. Here is how I made the rosette:
- I used a piece of the burlap
- I cut an 8 inch x 1 inch piece
- folded it in half and hot glued the sides together
- Put a dab of hot glue on one end of the folded material and fold it over.
- Roll the end one full turn.
- Twist the strip of material and turn as you twist, hot gluing the base at each turn.
- When I had my base the size I wanted I cut off the excess.
- Hot gluing the ends to keep it all together. It should look like this.
Hot glue the rosette on the bunny where his tail should be.
I made a bow out of the Jute twine and hot glued it to the bent ear of my bunny. [If you want a girl bunny put it on her ear, boy add to his neck].
That’s it! You can place the picture hook on the back of the frame it came with if you want to hang it on the wall. It is so adorable, you can style it alone or in a vignette. I just love how it looks.
