When I placed my tobacco baskets up on the wall I never thought they would be so much fun to decorate. The baskets stays the same, but the decorations on the baskets changes with the season. So easy!! When I am searching for the items I want to decorate with I keep in mind the theme I want to use and the sizes I need for each basket.

Before I share my Christmas wall with you let’s go back a couple months to the same wall I decorated for Fall.

Now let’s get to my Christmas basket wall!! First, I like to start with changing out the sign in the center. The Christmas sign I am placing in the center has been seen on other walls during Christmas. Once on the mantel wall and above the television last year. I love the saying on the sign.
Below the sign I placed my JOY plague hanger, I removed the hanger and added it to the center of the tobacco basket. I have a nail place on the wall in between the basket weaves to add the decorations nicely inside.
For the small basket I looked inside my red ornament container for an ornament that would fit the theme and size. My DIY tobacco basket is still looking pretty good! Doesn’t the ornament fit perfectly?

For the largest basket I like to hang a frame that fits the theme of the whole wall. Again, I have a nail in the wall to hang the frame.
The print in the frame was a Christmas gift given to our family several years ago. It has all of our names written on it.
On the other side are my pocket tobacco baskets, I decorated the pocket baskets with greenery and books.
I placed a wooden snowflake to fill in the corner space. It actually is a large wooden ornament, It’s fun using something unusual as wall art.
In the smaller pocket basket I placed two Christmas books and a Christmas pick. Isn’t it a perfect place to store books? 🙂
In the larger basket I added some greenery and a pick of berries, with my DIY Christmas bell hanging off the front pocket.

I traded out a Christmas tree in place of the faux Ficus tree.
If you don’t have Christmas decorations to change out your wall décor, wrap your existing frames with pretty wrapping paper and bow, I have done this myself in years past. Have you?
As you can tell on my wall I keep the baskets as they were I only change out the decorations in the baskets.

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
Your wall of festive baskets is so lovely, Terrie! And Oh my goodness, I just love that personalized print! So cute!
Thanks Christine. I haven’t used the print in a couple years. I am glad I used it this year.
Terrie,
I love this and Joy is my favorite word during Christmas.
Love the picture with your names too. Such a treasure.
Baskets are fun to change seasonally.
Cindy
Thanks Cindy. I never realized how many JOY decorations I had. I guess I do too.
