Welcome back to the last day of Christmas Prepping.  Today we will be preparing each room to get ready for our Christmas decorations.

If you are like me, you decorate your home to make it look warm and cozy all year long. When Christmas comes, we shouldn’t keep things as is and stick a Christmas tree in the midst.  This would make our room look crowded.  So instead of placing your tree in a space that isn’t large enough to hold the tree, do some rearranging so your home still looks warm and cozy.

Rule of thumb, you will need a space your tree would fit into while laying down.  At the minimal.  I switched the recliner and bookshelf, our Christmas tree will be place near the fireplace.

While your room is free of clutter, take the time and clean your room.  I know it will only get messier as we decorate, having clean surfaces will allow you to go right to decorating.

While I am talking about cleaning, let me share the tools I used while prepping our home for the Christmas decorating season.

Furniture Sliders

These are the best tool to move your furniture with ease and protects your floors from scratches.

Bona Premium Microfiber Floor Mop

As we move furniture, I like to grab my floor dust mop to grab loose dirt and lint.

Bona Cleaner

Using the Bona cleaner to areas when moving furniture around.

O-Cedar Spin Mop

I like to use my Homemade Floor cleaner and my spin mop to clean my laminate floors.

Murphy Soap Oil

Instead of heavy layering spray polish I like to use 1/4 cup of Murphy Soap Oil and hot water to clean all my wood furniture.

Norwex Cloth (Mirror and Dust)

I was introduced to these cloths by my Sister-in-law.  They are amazing.  They are worth the cost.  The glass cloth alone is worth it!

Shark Vacuum

I have many vacuum cleaners, the one I have is this Shark vacuum.  It is light weight and does a great job.

These are the tools I used, not to say they are the only ones or the best ones.  Just sharing my tools.

I hope you find my blog post helpful to prepare your home for your Christmas decorating.  Thanks for joining me this week as I share how I prep our home for my Christmas season!  Come back Monday when I start to bring the decorations into our home!
